Billing & Insurance Policies

AASC participates with most insurance companies. Prior to your procedure a member of our business office staff will contact you to inform you of any deductibles or co-payments you may need to bring on the day of your procedure. We encourage you to call our staff at 410-224-2811 ext. 125, if you have any questions or need additional information.

Medical record request:

Fax# 410-224-6971

All co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles are collected at the time of service. Full payment is required at the time of admission for non-covered procedures and for a patient who does not have medical insurance. We accept most major credit cards, checks, cash and money orders. In the event of overpayment, we will promptly refund the amount of the overpayment.

Are cosmetic procedures covered?

All patients will receive an estimated cost for the procedure from the surgery center when their case is posted. Payment is expected prior to the date of surgery. Payment may be made by cash, certified check, or credit card.

Facility fees are based on physician posting times. Any variations in actual OR time will be evaluated. Any patient whose case runs less than the posted time will be reimbursed for the difference in the facility fee. In the event that the procedure extends past the posted surgical time, the patient will be responsible for payment of fees incurred due to additional operative time.

Arundel Ambulatory Surgery Center contracts with The Anesthesia Company at Luminis Health. Information about scheduled patients is forwarded to the Anesthesia Company who in turn will call the patient with their anesthesia fees.
