  • How is an ambulatory surgery center different than a hospital?

An ambulatory surgery center, also known as an outpatient center, allows you to go home the same day of your surgery. The center is specially designed to provide you with personalized care for extra comfort and a faster recovery.

  • What time will my surgery be?

The surgery center will call you 1 day prior to your surgery to give you your check in time.

  • What happens in the surgery center?

Your physician will inform the nursing staff about the specific preparation for your procedure.  After your recovery period the nursing staff will review all of the instructions from your physician prior to your discharge.  However, should you have any questions once you arrive home please feel free to call us at 410-224-2811 ext. 413.

  • Will I need a ride home?

Yes, you must have a responsible adult driver to escort you home and stay with you for 24 hours.
